Ok, I was so going to leave this one alone, the quality of the work has long made the possibility irrelevant.
Then I decided to actually look at the post she quoted and linked to and his whole attitude seriously pissed me off. People are supposed to not try for something that they want to do themselves just because their parents did well in life and it might interfere with what other people might want? If one wants to rant on anything close to that topic, it should be something worth ranting about, like that Texas wonder of the modern world. Oh, wait, Simon apparently didn't want that job, my mistake.
